Update: Linkedin Launch Series Of New Features For Small Businesses
Linkedin follows Google’s lead to launch a series of new features and resources to help Small Businesses adapt and grow in the current climate. Let’s explore these features and the benefits they present below.
LinkedIn Events
Linkedin Events has now been integrated with Pages to help strengthen relationships with business customers, colleagues, and communities.
Event Examples Highlighted by Linkedin Include – Marketing Technologies recently hosted a virtual Lunch-and-Learn on metal stamping for more than 30 attendees, while Hackages used a LinkedIn Event to promote their upcoming YouTube live stream, where an expert taught viewers advanced coding languages.
Free Learning Courses
LinkedIn has released a series of courses which are free until August. These courses are designed to help users hone their skills in management, sales, marketing and finance.

Business Response to COVID-19
This new custom announcement banner enables SME’s in the non-profit and healthcare sectors post critical and timely updates to the top of their Page, so their community can stay up to date on important topics such as a change in operating priorities, or protecting of the workforce. Additionally, LinkedIn has added a “Volunteer” call-to-action button option to help non-profit organisations ask members to volunteer.
Hire Remotely and Easily Manage Job Applications
As remote working continues to rise the location of where you find your next employee is becoming less relevant. LinkedIn is rolling out new ways to set job post location to ‘remote’. This new setting is a quick way to attract job seekers looking for remote work, and find top talent no matter where they’re located. It will be rolling out to all sectors over the coming weeks.
In addition they are introducing a streamlined new candidate management system. Starting this month, if you are actively hiring you will be able to rate and review job applicants all in one screen to filter down to the most promising candidates.
