Update: Google’s Smart Campaign Ads Launch New Features

Google’s Smart Campaign Ads have now been rolled out globally and they have today announced a range of new features that will save advertisers time and enhance their listings. The new features include being able to sign up from any device, stand out on Google Maps, preview your results on Google Search and control what triggers your ads to show.

What Are Smart Campaigns?

Smart Campaigns are less targeted and quicker to set up than using Google main AI platform, but for beginners and people who are short of time, they can be a good way to ensure you reach the right people with your products and offers – and a great starting point to test out Google’s Ad platform.

Sign up via the Mobile App

You can now sign up for Smart Campaigns directly from the Google Ads mobile app on Android and iOS, which is a great time saver and means you can access on the go too.

Stand out on Google Maps

They have also started rolling out Promoted Pins to Smart campaign advertisers with a Google My Business profile which enables users to stand out from the other map listings.

See how your ads perform directly on Google.com

Rather than having to login to the ad platform you can now see at a glance how your ads are performing and how they are presented with a quick search of your brand name. A great time saver and sense check right at your fingertips.

More control over which keywords trigger your ads

Smart campaigns have rolled out keyword themes (formerly “products and services”) so you simply tell Google what your business offers and they will show your ad to potential customers who are currently searching for related phrases.
